About:
In line with its glorious history and proud tradition of high quality education, Cotton University had decided to start a new chapter by introducing the Department of Commerce. The history of the Department dates back to the year 2021 when it began functioning under the Department of Economics, Cotton University. It was granted the stature of a full-fledged Department on January 1, 2024. The Department plans to launch the two years LOCF based Master Degree Programme in Commerce from the academic session 2024-25. With the help of its dynamic and supportive faculty members, the Department aims to inculcate an innovative research environment and provide placement/internship assistance to its learners who can shine in the global platform in all areas of trade, commerce, business and industry.
The programme is aimed to enhance analytical ability, problem solving skills among the learners along with developing an aptitude to integrate and collate with community engagement curriculum. At the end of the programme students are expected to have excellent skills valued both in academia and the corporate world. The programme aspires to create skilled manpower and economically independent individuals motivated to contribute to nation building. It hopes to be the torch bearer in the roadmap of progress, prosperity and industrial development in a self reliant India. The students are expected to become responsible citizens in the society who can contribute to global sustainable development.
